AI Search Visibility (GEO & AEO)
Get cited by AI assistants, not just ranked by search engines.
Generative and answer engine optimisation: structuring a site so ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews can find, quote and attribute it. Entity consistency, answer-first content, structured data, llms.txt and agent-readable surfaces — implemented on your site, the way they are implemented on this one.
Typical timeline: 4–8 weeks for implementation, with tracking continuing after
When this is the right call
Problems this solves
In the words people actually use when they get in touch, rather than in the words the technology uses.
- “Rankings held steady and traffic fell — the answer is being given without the click”
- “Competitors are named in AI answers and you are not”
- “Nobody in the organisation can explain what GEO or AEO actually require”
- “Your content is good and no engine can extract a clean answer from it”
Deliverables
What you get
- An entity audit: how consistently your organisation is described across every surface
- Answer-first restructuring of priority pages
- FAQ and HowTo coverage matched to questions people really ask
- Structured data implemented and validated
- llms.txt and agent-readable surfaces where they apply
- A citation-tracking process, since no tool reports this reliably yet
Approach
How it is built
- Entity consistency first — engines resolve you by matching the same description across independent surfaces
- Answer-first paragraphs that an engine can lift without mangling
- Structured data that matches visible copy exactly
- Agent-readable surfaces: llms.txt, markdown negotiation, well-known manifests
Process
How it runs
- 1
Baseline
What assistants currently say about you, recorded before anything changes.
- 2
Entity audit
Every description of your organisation, and where they contradict.
- 3
Restructure
Answer-first, extractable, with the claims an engine can quote.
- 4
Implement
Schema, FAQ coverage, llms.txt, negotiation surfaces.
- 5
Track
A repeatable monthly check, because the tooling does not exist yet.
What it costs
Scope and price agreed on a short call — no obligation, and you get a written figure before anything starts.
Get a figureWhat I need from you
- CMS or repository access
- Agreement on one canonical description of your organisation
- A subject expert to confirm the claims we make extractable
- Patience: citation footprints build over months, not days
Not included
- Guaranteed inclusion in any AI answer — no one controls that, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing
- Content production at volume
- Paid placement in AI products, which is a different market entirely

AI Search Visibility (GEO & AEO) — questions people ask
Is GEO just SEO with a new name?
It overlaps, and the overlap is the boring, important part. What differs is that ranking is not the goal — being the source an engine quotes and attributes is, and that rewards entity consistency and extractable structure far more than classical SEO does.
How do you measure it?
A repeatable prompt set run monthly across the major assistants, recorded over time, plus referral traffic from AI products where analytics can see it. It is manual, and I will not pretend otherwise.
Can you guarantee we get cited?
No. Nobody can. What is controllable is whether your content is findable, extractable, consistent and worth citing — and most sites fail on at least two of those.
Does this help classical SEO too?
Generally yes. Structured, answer-first content with valid schema tends to perform better in both.
What is llms.txt?
A plain-text manifest describing a site for AI agents, in the same spirit as robots.txt. This site publishes one and it is generated at build time from the live catalogue.
Have you done this before?
On this site, in public. The implementation and the audit that preceded it are documented in the repository, including the parts that were wrong first.
