About the Data Tools
NKable's data tools convert, edit and generate structured data entirely in your browser: CSV, JSON, XML and YAML conversion, a spreadsheet-style CSV editor, a table generator, test data generation and a chart data builder.
These data tools all run client-side, which is the distinction from the converter category. Nothing is uploaded, so a customer export, a financial CSV or an API response containing real records can be worked on without leaving your machine.
The set covers the whole small-scale data workflow: convert a file into the format the next system wants, edit rows and columns without opening a spreadsheet that will reformat your dates, build a table for a document, or generate realistic records to test with.
For very large files or Excel workbooks the server-based converters handle the heavy parsing more comfortably. For everything else, staying in the browser is both faster and private.
How to use the Data Tools
- Pick a tool. Choose a converter, the CSV editor, a generator or the table builder.
- Add your data. Paste it or select a file — nothing is uploaded.
- Check the parsed result. Confirm columns, types and structure look right.
- Export or copy. Download the output or copy it to your clipboard.

Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded when I use these?
No. Every tool in this category runs entirely in your browser, so records never leave your machine.
How is this different from the Converters category?
These run client-side. The converters use the server, which handles Excel and very large files more comfortably.
Is there a file size limit?
Only your device's memory. Very large files are better handled by the server-based converters.
Can I edit a CSV without Excel?
Yes. The CSV editor adds and removes rows and columns without reformatting dates or stripping leading zeros.
Are these tools free?
Yes, with no account, no watermark and no row limit.
