AI Chatbots

A chatbot that answers from your content, and admits when it cannot.

Website, WhatsApp and support chatbots grounded in your own documentation, product data and policies — so answers come from your content rather than from the model's general knowledge, and the bot says "I do not know, here is a human" instead of inventing a refund policy you do not have.

Typical timeline: 2–5 weeks depending on how much content needs cleaning first

When this is the right call

Problems this solves

In the words people actually use when they get in touch, rather than in the words the technology uses.

  • Support answers the same forty questions every week and never gets to the hard ones
  • A generic chatbot was installed, gave a confidently wrong answer, and got switched off
  • Customers ask on WhatsApp at 11pm and nobody replies until morning
  • Your documentation is good, and nobody reads it

Deliverables

What you get

  • A deployed chatbot on your site, WhatsApp, or both
  • An ingestion pipeline over your real content, re-runnable when it changes
  • Escalation to a human, with the conversation attached
  • An admin view of what was asked, what was answered, and what failed
  • A handover document covering how to update content and what it costs to run

Approach

How it is built

  • Retrieval-grounded answers with citations back to your source content
  • An explicit refusal path — no answer is better than a wrong one on price or policy
  • Escalation to a human with full context, not a dead end
  • Cost controls and rate limits so a scraper cannot run up your model bill

Process

How it runs

  1. 1

    Scope call

What it must answer, what it must never answer, and where it lives.

  2. 2

    Content audit

What you have, what is missing, and what contradicts itself.

  3. 3

    Build

    Ingestion, retrieval, guardrails, escalation, deployment.

  4. 4

    Test against real questions

Your actual support history, not invented examples.

  5. 5

    Launch and handover

Live, monitored, and documented well enough to run without me.

What it costs

Scope and price agreed on a short call — no obligation, and you get a written figure before anything starts.

What I need from you

  • Access to the content the bot should answer from
  • A list of questions it must handle, and questions it must refuse
  • One person who can approve answers
  • Site or WhatsApp Business access for deployment

Not included

  • Writing your documentation from scratch (though I will tell you what is missing)
  • Ongoing content maintenance unless we agree a retainer
  • WhatsApp Business API fees, or model API costs — those are billed to your account, not mine
  • A bot that will confidently answer anything: refusal paths are a feature here

AI Chatbots — questions people ask

Will it make things up?

It answers from your content and cites what it used. Where retrieval finds nothing relevant, it says so and offers a human rather than filling the gap. That behaviour is tested against your real questions before launch.

What does it cost to run each month?

Model API usage, which scales with conversation volume, plus hosting. You get an estimate from real traffic assumptions during the scope call, and rate limits so it cannot run away.

Can it work on WhatsApp?

Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API. You hold the account and the number; I build and connect the bot.

What happens when our content changes?

The ingestion pipeline is re-runnable and documented, so your team can refresh it. If you would rather not, that is a retainer.

Who owns the code?

You do. The source and deployment documentation are handed over at the end.

Can it hand over to our support team?

Yes. Escalation carries the full conversation and the retrieved context, so the human does not start from nothing.

Tell me what you are trying to do

You get a written figure and a scope before anything begins. If this is not the right service for the problem, I will say which one is — or that none of them are.

Roughly what you have already, what a good outcome looks like, and any budget or deadline you are working to — that is enough for a first reply with a real figure in it.
