Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated
The short version: cancel before the batch starts and you get everything back. Cancel in the first week and you get most of it back. After that you can move to the next batch instead. If we cancel, you choose between a full refund and the next batch.
1. What this covers
This policy applies to fees paid for NKable’s live online courses and to corporate training engagements. It does not apply to the free tools on this site, which cost nothing and therefore have nothing to refund.
Project and consulting work is governed by the individual agreement for that engagement, not by this page.
2. Cancelling before the batch starts
Cancel at any point before the first session and you get a full refund of the course fee, less any payment-gateway charge that cannot be reversed. No reason is required and none will be asked for.
If we cancel or postpone a batch — too few enrolments, illness, anything else — you choose between a full refund including any gateway charge, or a place in the next batch. That choice is yours, not ours.
3. Cancelling after the batch starts
There is a cooling-off period: request a refund within seven days of the first session, or before the third session, whichever comes first, and you receive a full refund less the gateway charge and the pro-rata value of sessions already delivered.
After that point the fee is non-refundable, because the teaching hours have been reserved for you and cannot be resold mid-cohort. What you can do instead is transfer once, free of charge, to the next batch of the same course — see section 4.
This does not affect any statutory right you have as a consumer. Where local law gives you a stronger right than this policy, the law applies.
4. Transfers and deferrals
You may transfer once to the next batch of the same course at no cost, provided you ask before that batch begins. A second transfer is at our discretion and may carry a fee.
You may switch to a different course before your batch starts. If the new course costs more, the difference is payable; if it costs less, the difference is refunded.
Missing individual sessions does not extend a course or entitle you to a refund. Recordings are shared for exactly this reason.
5. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] or use the contact form with the course name, the batch, and the email address used to enrol. A reason is optional but genuinely useful — most refund requests point at something worth fixing.
Requests are acknowledged within two working days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within seven to ten working days of approval. How quickly it then appears on a statement depends on your bank, not on us.
6. Payment-gateway charges
Payment processors keep a small percentage of every transaction, and on a refund that charge is generally not returned to us. Where that is the case it is deducted from the refund and the exact amount is stated in writing before the refund is processed. It is never more than what the processor actually kept.
7. Removal for conduct
A place can be withdrawn for behaviour that makes the cohort unpleasant for others — harassment, persistent disruption, sharing course material or recordings publicly. In that case the unused portion of the fee is refunded on a pro-rata basis. This has not happened, and the clause exists so that everyone knows the answer in advance.
8. Taxes
Where any tax applies to a course fee, it is shown before payment and is refunded along with the fee where a refund is due. If a fee is displayed without tax being mentioned, the displayed figure is what you pay.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy, before or after enrolling: [email protected] or the contact form. Asking before you pay is always the cheaper conversation.
