About the Word to PDF Converter

Is my document uploaded?

No. The DOCX is parsed in your browser and never sent to a server, which is the main reason to use this rather than a hosted converter for anything confidential.

Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?

Not exactly. The conversion extracts structure — headings, lists, tables, bold and italic — rather than reproducing Word's page layout, so fonts, precise spacing and page breaks will differ. Check the preview before saving.

How do I get the file?

Through your browser's print dialog, which opens when you convert. Choose Save as PDF as the destination rather than a printer.

Does it handle .doc as well as .docx?

Reliably only .docx. The older binary .doc format is a different thing entirely, so open it in Word or LibreOffice and save as .docx first.

What happens to images in the document?

Inline images are carried through where possible, but complex positioning, text wrapping and floating objects will not survive. Documents that are mostly text convert best.
